  While walking through the Gramercy Park section of Manhattan one day during the late 1970's, as I was examining the brownstone patterns I came upon this shot. Two young children were looking out from their home....looking like a metaphor for a captivating (although sterotypical) aspect of New York City existence... protected, behind bars, yearning to be free of their "protection".
