T
Fernando
During my first
trip to Corsica, I came across a concrete bust of my father-in-law
Fernando Joaquin Palicio del Valle in my mother-in-law's tool shed.
Fernando was a Cuban painter who moved to France to pursue his art,
and ever after thought of France, and San Tropez in particular,
as his home. While at a party, one of his friends, a sculptor, made
a cast of his head with which he later produced this bust. How and
why his bust found it's way to the tool shed is another story altogether....
This photograph was taken during the summer of 1983 in San Antonino.
