TRainy Day

  I have always been entranced by everyday images, images that you may see out of the corner of your eye, images that are either always there and taken for granted, or fleeting views that occur in the blink of an eye and then are gone. This is an everyday image, the view from my father's apartment on Third avenue and 36th Street.."What's the weather like?" You take a quick glance out the window and off you go to meet your day. It was raining this day, and the reflections of the pavement and sidewalk were matched by the motion induced blurriness caused by the slightly elongated exposure (1/2 a second).
