Water and Stone

   Not very far outside of the town of Calvi (birthplace of Christopher Columbus) in the north of Corsica, there is stream that flows down from the mountains ice-cold and clear. If you follow that stream into the mountains a little bit, there is a park (Bonifato) where you can swim in the ICE COLD! water and climb huge erosion-smoothed boulders from which you can jump into deep pools. The water is as clear as glass...and the rocks are colorful and smooth, almost like gems when seen through the lens provided by the water.
